Introduction:
If life was a book, how would your chapters read? (Frédéric Pietowski – Limited edition – 1993 – Ostend, Belgium). Well, here’s my version; stick along for a leisurely ride up until the point I’m at now. So hold on to your buts, and let’s dive right in!
Chapter 1: The Pursuit of Knowledge
I have been curious for as long as I could remember, more than wanting to know the fact, I wanted to know the why and how something came to be. Most of my spare time was spent getting into the nitty gritty of things and somewhere along the ride I taught myself to use a camera, and tinker with computers. A chance in the final year of university offered itself and after studying a year of DH (basically learning some basic programming and data skills). I landed a job at the place that once taught me and decided to move to Leuven. Where I managed to deepen my understanding of IT-topics. There was only one big but…
Chapter 2: The Adventures of Hobbyland
Enter the little wonderland of hobbies! I delved into a multitude of exciting activities, such as photography, hiking, bouldering and most recently car mechanics. Each hobby became a source of joy, allowing me to wind down, and above all being in awe about a million stunning places all over the world.
Chapter 3: The Birth of a Blog
The more places or interesting things I discovered, the more I wished to share my experiences with the world. And that’s why this blog came to life! Through engaging articles, personal anecdotes and some key takeaways I aim to create a space that inspires and entertains, leaving you with the urge to go out yourself and try something new – who knows, you might actually enjoy it!
